He was speaking while presiding over the silver jubilee celebration function of Moodbidri Rotary English Medium Shcool, after inaugurating the Rs 20 lac silver jubilee memorial building.
He further said that values should be given prominence in life and it should be well-structured and lived worthily. Age would not be counted in the number of years but the achievements by way of values, he added.
Dr Heggade also honoured the past president and the present president, trust members, correspondents, teaching and non-teaching staff as well as Rotary Club members.
Rotary Club's 3180 RI district president-elect K Nagendran as chief guest said that all the educated could not be learned and therefore it would be the task of the educated people to be regarded as learned. Rotary president and Education Society president also spoke on the occasion.
Society secretary P M Narayan read the report of 25 years. Education society's correspondent welcomed the gathering. Headmistress Sharmila Hemant proposed the vote of thanks.
