New Delhi, Mar 9: After missing out on the first Test, All-India Radio (AIR) on Wednesday clinched the broadcast rights for the rest of the India-England cricket series.
The second Test which begins at Mohali tomorrow will be available at 65 mw and four FM Gold Channels of AIR, a senior official of the public broadcaster told PTI.
AIR was deprived of the running commentary of the first Test after it rejected the Nimbus offer amounting to USD 3,00,000 (for the entire series) as "too high".
"After further negotiations, we managed a breakthrough and bagged the rights at mutually-beneficial rates," the official said.
The remaining part of the series has two more Test matches and seven one-day internationals.
