Yaounde (Cameroon), Oct 9 (IANS): Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o, who announced his retirement from international football last month, has decided to play the World Cup Africa Zone play-off for Cameroon.
Eto'o, who won the African Footballer of the Year for a record four times, will join the national squad to face Tunisia in Rades Oct 13 followed by the return leg in Yaounde Nov 17, reports Xinhua.
"You can have all the problems in the world but you have to see out your mission," the 32-year-old told Cameroon state radio Tuesday.
"And this time it's to join my teammates in Tunisia and return with a good result."
