Narrow escape for rider as bus loses control, hits pole

Mangalore, Oct 16: A rider had a narrow escape after a bus driver lost control of his vehicle and rammed into an electric pole which fell on his scooter.

The incident took place near the railway gate at Pandeshwar here on Tuesday October 15 night.

It is said that the driver of the bus plying from Mangaladevi and going towards Bangalore suddenly lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the pole before hitting the divider and coming to a stop.

Due to the impact of the accident, the pole got dislocated and fell on a Honda Activa which was passing by.

The rider, identified as Sudhakar, luckily escaped with minor injuries. Sudhakar is a resident near Marigudi temple, Bolar.

Pandeshwar police arrived at the spot and registered a case.
