Panaji, Oct 17 (IANS): Police seized amphetamine, a party drug, worth Rs.2 crore in Goa and arrested a Briton and an Indian for possessing it.
The seizure followed two police raids late Wednesday.
The first seizure was at an abandoned helipad and the other at a pharmacy, both close to Calangute beach, one of the popular beach tourism destinations, located 20 km from here.
The Briton was identified as Gary Baird and the Indian as Rajendra Gowda-Patil, Superintendent Kartik Kashyap in the anti-narcotics cell said.

Thu, Oct 17 2013Goa being a tourist centre with lot of beaches and foreigners these things are bound to develop in view of demand and easy money.Government need to raid these centres and those caught to be regarously punished.Hope the government is alert to stop this since it may lead to crimes and public unrest.Thanq.
