Mangalore: Boy drowns in swimming pool

Mangalore, Oct 26: A 13-year-old boy drowned in Mangalore City Corporation swimming pool on Friday October 25 evening.

The deceased has been identified as Sohan, resident of Boloor, son of Somashekar and Prameela. Sohan was a class 8 student of Amritha Vidayalaya Boloor.

It is learnt that Sohan along with his friends took tickets and went to the pool for a swim. Although, there were expert trainers, nobody knew how the boy drowned. Later, when his friends went in search of him, they found his body inside the pool. Immediately, Sohan was rushed to a nearby nursing home. He was later shifted to AJ hospital, but in vain.

Moreover, parents should accompany children who are below 12-years. But as Sohan was 13-year-old he went with his friends. Soon after the incident, Sohan’s friends informed his parents.

Barke police registered a case.
