Mumbai, Oct 28 (PTI): Indian Mujahideen operative Afzal Usmani, who had fled from a Mumbai court last month, has been rearrested, Maharashtra ATS said on Monday.
Usmani, an accused in the 2008 Ahmedabad bombings, had escaped from MCOCA court during production on September 20.
Usmani (38), who hails from Sangarpur village in Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh district was a hotelier in Mumbai before he turned towards terrorist activities. He is believed to have handled finances for IM.

Days after Usmani fled, seven suspected SIMI members had also escaped from a jail in Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh.
