Panaji, Mar 26: Contract killers from Kerala who were taking shelter in Goa were nabbed by Goa police on Friday afternoon.

According to the police, all the six accused were wanted on connection with two murder cases and a crude bomb blast in Kerala.

"The six accused led by Jaison Anthony from Kottayam district of Kerala were arrested this evening," Superintendent of Police (South) Shekhar Prabhudesai told reporters on Friday.

Prabhudesai stated that all the accused were involved in two different murder cases in Kottayam district of kerala and were wanted by Kerala police.

The accused had joined together to kill one person in their native district on March 6 and were hiding in Goa, the SP said.

Margao: According to information given by police inspector Santosh Desai, the six accused have been identified as Jaison Anthony (31), Mohammad Salih (20), Rais Mohammad Asraf (22), Sibu Satyam (25), Sabin Gangadharan (20) and Sahil Ahmed Kadar (22), They had allegedly killed one Gangadharan over some dispute and one Kabil from Kerala on March 6, when the victim was attending the party.

After killing the two, they arrived in Goa on March 8 and took shelter in a hotel in Margao and then, rented two rooms in a different locality.

Gang-leader, contract killer and owner of two buses in Kerala, Jaison Anthony arranged one room in Rawandfond, 7 Km from here and other room for his colleagues at Padde-Paroda, 14 Km from here.

During the interrogation, they confessed to having killed two persons in Kerala, and that thereafter, since March 8, they had been hiding in the same places.

Jaison Anthony had placed an order with a hotelier from Margao, by paying cash of Rs. 5000. Waiters of this hotel were supplying food to the accused day and night.

Because of the round-the-clock trips of the waiters to the place of living of the accused, some of the locals got suspicious. The reported the story to the police and acting on their tip-off police nabbed them on the night of March 23.

The police revealed that on March 6, the accused had allegedly killed Kabil, a PWD contractor in Kerala.

The Goa Police have contacted the police commissioner of Kotayam-Kerala, and a team of Kerala Police is on its way to Goa, the police said.
