Kundapur: Budding managers showcase skills at Tapmi BrandScan

Kundapur, Oct 29: The TAPMI-BrandScan programme was conducted in Kundapur on October 26.

The event was inaugurated by Kalavathi U S,  president, Kundapur Town Municipal Council after cutting the ribbon and lighting the lamp.

Raghavendra B Shenoy, student convener of TAPMI BrandScan spoke about the reasoning behind the organization of TAPMI-BrandScan.

TAPMI-BrandScan is conducted to help budding managers to obtain the experience of managing an entire event which will be useful once they join companies after passing out of colleges.

Kalavathi U S then spoke about how TAPMI students arrive from Manipal to Kundapura to conduct the event. She appreciated the students for taking up this initiative especially the Women Empowerment program which was conducted as a part of the event. She also extended help from her department to TAPMI-BrandScan.

Dr R C Natarajan, director, TAPMI provided the vote of thanks and thanked Kalavathi U S and all the people of Kundapura for their support.

The first event to be conducted was the Women’s Empowerment Program. Three sessions were conducted for more than 100 women understand entrepreneurial opportunities. Nina Shetty from POWER, Syndicate Bank and The English Academy conducted these sessions.

The next event was Kids Got Talent where over 70 kids participated and showed their wonderful talent. RDX a professional stunt biking team from Mangalore performed stunt shows and amazed the crowd.

Hogathon a food eating competition was also conducted where people who ate the maximum won attractive prizes. Manjunath Kunjeshwar (Mimicry Manja) of Hoy Nagbeku Marre fame from Namma TV conducted a comedy show.

Yantra, the band from Infosys, Mangalore performed Kannada and Hindi songs for the audience

Dance Masti- The Dance show was conducted where over 7 teams and a total of 80 participants entertained the audience.
