Mangalore, Mar 26: In order to provide exposure to English teachers to the recent developments in Indian English fiction, the Association of English Teachers (AET) will organise a two-day national-level seminar. The seminar will be held on March 27 and 28 in the IT Auditorium on the theme “Perspectives in Indian English Fictions.”

The president of AET, Prof Lourdsamy on Thursday, March 25 said the programme had the prime objective of providing an insight into English fiction.

Dr R Sashidar of Mangalore University will deliver the keynote address.

Topics like de-colonalisation in regional language, representation of politics and history, writings of the marginalised section and women’s issues in Indian English fictions will be discussed.

Over 150 participants from across the country will participate in the seminar.
