Sonia Gandhi condoles writer Rajendra Yadav's death


New Delhi, Oct 30 (IANS): Congress chief Sonia Gandhi Wednesday condoled the death of Hindi author Rajendra Yadav, describing him as one of the towering figures of modern progressive Hindi literature.

She noted his role in resurrecting and re-establishing the 'Hans' magazine, originally started by Munshi Premchand.

Yadav, 84, died here Monday night after a prolonged illness.
