New Delhi, Oct 31 (IANS): Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party president Vijay Goel Thursday said party tickets for the Dec 4 state elections will be announced after the Diwali festival.
"Good work at grassroots level, clean image, commitment to the party and ability to win are some of the main criteria for selection. The announcement of party candidates will be done after Nov 3," Goel said in a press statement.
He also said that sitting MLAs with a good track record will be given the tickets again. The party will give representation to all sections of society, when it comes to ticket distribution, Goel said.
On Tuesday, senior party leader Sushma Swaraj had said the party may select its candidates for Delhi assembly elections by Oct 31.
One party source said the delay in announcement of the party's candidates was because the process of selection was being done with particular meticulousness.
