Bantwal, Mar 28: One person was crushed to death after a coconut tree he was cutting suddenly collapsed on him at Ammiyal near Koila here on Monday March 27.
Babu (50) was assisting in cutting a coconut tree near his house on Monday. He was holding the rope when the tree collapsed fell on him. As a result both his legs were broken.
Though he was rushed in to the hospital immediately in Mangalore, he succumbed to the injuries later.
A complaint has been filed in the Bantwal rural police station in this regard.
