Tumkur, Mar 28: Denzil D’Souza, a realtor from Kulur in Mangalore city denied that the owners of Ashapallavi Chemax of Tumkur had offered him a Rs 15 lakh contract to kill Tumkur BJP MLA S Shivanna.

Talking to the media here recently, he admitted that he met the company owners in Bangalore on March 13, as they were his family friends and former business partners. Denzil said that he was in Bangalore to attend a land case in the High Court.

“I met Chemax owner Mahesh’s brother Satish and their driver Mallu at Pulikeshi hotel in Gandhinagar in the morning. Again we met at the HC complex”, he said.

“They told me that they wanted to take on Shivanna politically as he was an obstacle in their fake petrol business. Mahesh said that Deve Gowda had made him general secretary of the JD (S) youth wing and he wanted to contest against Shivanna in the next polls,” Denzil said.

Denzil also admitted to having met Forest Minister Channigappa to discuss the mining business.
