Karkala, Mar 29: A newborn baby girl was found in the woods of Govindoor-Pavadakere of Yerlapady village near here on Tuesday March 28 afternoon.
The baby wrapped in swaddling clothes was found under a tree in the woods on Tuesday afternoon by some localites who had gone to the woods. The doctors who later conducted a medical test of the baby said that the baby might have been left abandoned soon after the birth.
Though the police as well as the localites tried to fathom details about the parents/mother of the child, they were not able to get any information.
Local teacher Satish Hegde has filed a case with the Karkala town police in this regard.
