Udupi, Mar 29: In another case of reckless driving by a lorry driver, a teenaged bicycle rider was killed at Kurudunje of Aroor near Brahmavar here on Tuesday March 28 morning.

The deceased has been identified as Ritesh (14), son of Shekhar Harijan of Kurudunje.  He was a class VIII student of VKR Acharya Memorial High School of Kunjal near Brahmavar.

On Tuesday morning he was on his way home from school riding his bicycle along with his friends when a lorry, "Sayyad Transport" of Matpady going to Kallianpur knocked him down at Kurudunje.

As a result, Ritesh fell on the road and died on the spot owing to serious injuries.

The Brahmavar police have booked a case in this regard.
