Dubai, Nov 4 (IANS): Reigning Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel captured the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to clinch a seventh straight victory and 11th of the season.
The German driving a Red Bull beat Australian teammate Mark Webber who started the race in pole position after starting second from the grid, reported Xinhua.
Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg was third.
With the victory amid good weather in the United Arab Emirates capital Abu Dhabi, Vettel matched Germany's F1-legend Michael Schumacher's record for the most successive wins in the Formula One history.
Spain's Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso, who finished 5th, hit the news after allegedly tricking Jean-Eric Vergne by passing the French competitor when he went back on the race track for two times.
