Kundapur: Youth drowns in river while swimming

Kundapur, Nov 6:  Eighteen-year-old Vijaya Mogaveera, a student of  TMA Pai  Polytechnic Manipal, who was pursuing a diploma in polytechnic, drowned in the Halady river on Wednesday November 6.

He is the son of Ishwara Mogaveera, a fisherman, who resides at 5 cents, Janatha Colony ,Near Laxmi Narashimha Temple, Halady.

The unfortunate Vijaya had gone swimming with his friend at a nearby spot around 2.30 pm. He is survived by a sister.

A case has been registered in Shankar Naryana police station.
