Mangalore, Apr 4: It seems that city is stricken with strikes.  While State Bank of India employees are on a strike for an indefinite period from Monday April 3, the BSNL employees staged protest in front of the general manager’s office here on Tuesday April 4.

The BSNL employees are on strike demanding administration to fulfill their demands.  Earlier the managing committee had called for a meeting to resolve the issue some days ago.  However, both the parties failed to compromise and the pact never took place.  So the employees went on strike on Tuesday.

Speaking to the reporters, district president of BSNL Employees union Venugopal Nambiyar and secretary B P Narayan have warned the administration that if they do not get a favourable reply from the administration, they will go on strike for an indefinite period.
