INS Viraat, the pride of Indian Navy.
The mighty, sole aircraft-carrier of the Indian Navy was commissioned in 1987. Its air wing comprises the Sea Harrier fighters which are capable of vertical and short-time take-off and landing, the Sea King Mk 42B anti-submarine operations, and Chetak for search and rescue operations.
