Additional foodgrains for BPL families in Himachal


Shimla, Nov 14 (IANS): The Himachal Pradesh government will provide additional foodgrains to below poverty line (BPL) families, an official said here Thursday.

The cabinet, in a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, Wednesday approved additional foodgrains for BPL families, a government spokesperson told IANS.

The government would provide an additional 11 kg wheat per ration card at Rs.5.25 per kg and nine kg rice at Rs.6.85 per kg, he said.
