India to gift 630 vehicles for Nepal election


New Delhi, Nov 15 (IANS): India will gift 630 vehicles to Nepal for the general elections scheduled to be held Nov 19.

The Indian government has awarded the contract to Mahindra & Mahindra for supplying the vehicles.

The vehicles are a symbol of support from the Indian Government to strengthen security during the election period. These Mahindra vehicles would be utilised by the security forces, Nepal police, Armed police force and as part of convoy, Mahindra & Mahindra said in a statement.
