Kripalu Maharaj's last rites at Mangarh Ashram Monday


Lucknow, Nov 15 (IANS): The body of spiritual guru Kripalu Maharaj will be kept for public 'darshan' at his Mangarh Ashram in Pratapgarh near here, ashram officials said Friday.

The seer died at a private hospital in Gurgaon (abutting Delhi) earlier Friday.

He fell critically ill a few days back and was admitted to a Pratapgarh (165 km from Lucknow) hospital and was later shifted to Fortis Memorial Research Institute in Gurgaon.

His followers and disciples from across the country would be allowed to pay their last respects to the 91-year-old godman at the ashram from Nov 16 to 17 between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.

His last rites would be performed at Bhakti Dham inside the ashram premises at 11 a.m. Monday, the officials told IANS.

The district authorities have begun preparations to manage the inflow of the seer's followers.
