Udupi, Apr 10: The people lying lazily on their cozy beds were surprised to be woken up by cool showers on Monday April 10 morning. People hurrying to their office, students getting ready for their schools, housewives preparing the breakfast, all were taken surprised when it started raining heavily at about 6 am on Monday.  However, rains were not quite unexpected to their residents.

The increasing humidity coupled with gloomy weather was indicating about some untimely showers.  But when it rained on Monday morning, there was who could blame about it since everyone needed it.

Other than city, the areas such Udyavar, Adi Udupi, Kodankur, Nittoor, Ambagilu, Bannanje and parts of Katpadi received rains.  However those who were out on streets for marketing, people going for morning walk and others were troubled by the untimely showers. 

Earlier Suratkal and surrounding areas in Dakshina Kannada district too received some cool showers on Sunday April 9 evening.  People those who were out on beaches, in parks, cinema theatres were caught up in rain.  Sunday being a public holiday, most of the people were out with their families.
