Obama, Clinton pay tribute to John F. Kennedy


Washington, Nov 21 (IANS): US President Barack Obama, along with former President Bill Clinton paid tribute to John F. Kennedy at Arlington National Cemetery Wednesday, two days before the 50th anniversary of his assassination.

The two were accompanied by their spouses, First Lady Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton, former secretary of state, when they placed the wreath near the eternal flame that marks Kennedy's gravesite, Xinhua reported.

The four had conversations with the Kennedy's family representatives present there.

This followed a Presidential Medal of Freedom award ceremony at the White House. The medal was introduced by Kennedy 50 years ago.
