APFEFSI building unites filmdom, Dasari happier

Hyderabad, Nov 22 (IANS): Renowned Telugu filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao is extremely happy over the fact that the industry has shown unity to financially support the construction of the Andhra Pradesh Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) office building.

Located in Venkatagiri, the NTR Cine Karmika Bhavanam, named after late actor-politician N.T. Rama Rao (NTR), was inaugurated recently. It has been constructed for the employees of the industry.

"It's nice to see the support coming from the veterans who are the pillars of our industry. It has made me even happier. While actress Jamuna donated Rs.50,000, producers D. Ramanaidu and Shyam Prasad have donated Rs.1 lakh each," Dasari told IANS.

"The long awaited dream has finally come true. This proves that the industry still stands united and I wish it stays like that," he added.

The building will soon be operational.
