New Delhi, Nov 25 (IANS): Kazakhstan's national cuisine including plov, samosa and kuyrdak have been a big hit with visitors to the Delhi Commonwealth Women's Association International Bazaar here.
The Kazakhstan embassy staff and their families took part in the fair.
The Kazakh pavilion attracted not only Indian visitors, but foreign guests, diplomats and representatives of foreign companies as well, said a Kazakhstan embassy press statement Monday.
The Kazakhs treated the guests with national cuisine - plov, kuyrdak, samosa and a variety of traditional sweets and candies.
All profits from the successful trade was handed over to the Delhi Commonwealth Women's Association.
The International Bazaar in New Delhi has been popular with Delhi residents for many decades.
The bazaar was initiated by the Delhi Commonwealth Women's Association to promote cultural interaction among the women from various countries who live in the Indian capital, the statement said.
This year celebrated the silver jubilee of the international fair. More than 50 countries, including Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Slovakia, Czech Republic, China, Cuba, Pakistan, have taken part in the annual fair.
