Publishers approaching Nupur Talwar for Aarushi book

Ghaziabad, Nov 29 (IANS): National and international book publishers are approaching Nupur Talwar in Dasna jail for writing a book on Aarushi and the trials and tribulations she and her husband went through following the murder of their 14-year daughter, for which they have been jailed for life.

"They came Friday morning and requested to meet Nupur. When asked about the reason for this, one of them revealed they wanted to negotiate on publishing a book on Aarushi," Dasna Jail superintendent Vireshraj Sharma said.

"She had been frequently talking about publishing the book on her daughter but has not been able to do so. Since the verdict has now been delivered, it is the right time to bring out the book," Sharma quoted a publisher as saying.

"But Nupur Talwar has not acceded to their request and is silent over the issue. She has been non-committal so far," the jailor added.

Meanwhile, the Talwars have now settled down in the jail and eat regularly with the other inmates. Nupur Talwar's blood pressure has returned to normal after rising to 140/102 on Nov 25, the day she and her husband were found guilty of murdering Aarushi and their domestic help Hemraj in their Sector 25 Jal Vayu Vihar flat in Noida May 15-16, 2008.

On Nov 25, they were upset and did not eat their dinner. Things were normal the next day and have started on the work allotted to them as per their qualifications. They have been provided jail uniforms which are wearing.

Rajesh Talwar is assisting doctors and is earning Rs.40 per day. Nupur Talwar has been assigned to teach women and children and is also paid Rs.40.
