Nelson Mandela's body moved to a military hospital

Pretoria, Dec 6 (IANS): Former South African president Nelson Mandela’s body has been taken to a military hospital in Pretoria, a media report said Friday.

Mandela was admitted to the Medi-Clinic Heart Hospital in June with a recurring lung infection and had been in the hospital for almost three months, according to South African Government News Agency.

He was discharged in September and was receiving medical care at his Houghton home in Johannesburg.

President Jacob Zuma Thursday night announced Madiba's death after which large crowds gathered outside Mandela's house.
