New Delhi, Dec 12 (Agencies) : Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi had a narrow escape at New Delhi's IGI Airport while returning from Rae Bareli in a private business jet, according to media reports on Thursday.
Gandhi's plane, a Cessna Citation, was given clearance by the Air Traffic Control (ATC) on Tuesday to land on a runway where an Ilyushin aircraft of Indian Air Force was about to take off.
However, moments before his plane was about to land, the ATC asked Gandhi's pilots to abort landing to avoid a collision.
Reports also said that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has ordered probe into the incident.
