Will end dynasty politics: AAP leader

New Delhi, Dec 12 (IANS): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas said Thursday that if he decides to fight the Lok Sabha elections, it will be to "finish dynasty politics".

"If I or anyone of us decide to fight the Lok Sabha elections, it will be with an aim to finish the dynasty politics," said Vishwas before leaving for Ralegan-Siddhi, where anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare is on an indefinite hunger strike to press for the passage of Jan Lokpal Bill.

AAP leader Manish Sisodia Wednesday indicated that Kumar Vishwas may be pitted against Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha elections.

However, union Steel Minister Beni Prasad Verma said Thursday outside the parliament: "What will he fight? There are a lot of jokers who will fight."

Finishing off dynasty politics will indeed be a blessing in disguise to the Congress. Congress today is lagging behind as the party is being totally controlled by a dynasty where honest, upright and able members of the party are suppressed and pushed behind the curtain. They are still in the party not because of their love for the so-called dynasty, but solely out of their loyalty to the party’s ideals and ideology.
