Thai caretaker PM calls meeting to resolve crisis

Bangkok, Dec 12 (IANS): Thailand's caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra Thursday invited all political parties and sections of the society to meet Sunday to seek solutions to the political deadlock in the country.

Yingluck said the permanent secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, Tongthong Chantharangsu, will be in charge of organising the meeting, reports Xinhua.

A group of anti-government protestors Thursday continued to besiege the Government House compound.

They removed barbed wires inside the compound and wanted the police deployed there to leave the compound.

After the police rejected the request, protestors cut off power supply to the Government House.
