AAP to organize 'broom yatra' in Gujarat to 'expose' Modi govt

Ahmedabad, Dec 16 (PTI): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday said that as part of its 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign, it will launch a "broom yatra" in Gujarat to "expose state government's corruption".

"The broom yatra will be launched on January 26. During the yatra, we will expose the Gujarat government's corrupt practices. We aim to clean the political filth in the state," member of AAP national executive committee, Dinesh Vaghela said.

The decision to organize the yatra was taken during AAP's two-day state executive meet, which ended here yesterday.

Vaghela said that before the results for Assembly polls were declared, there were 5,000 active AAP members.

"However, after the party's credible performance in Delhi Assembly election where AAP pocketed 28 out of 70 seats, the party's membership has risen to 17,000.

The party had earlier said that it may contest all the 26 Parliamentary seats in Gujarat, though the final decision regarding this would be taken by the national executive committee in Delhi.

When asked about the rift between AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal and anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare over the Lokpal Bill issue, Vaghela said, "Anna is being misled by agents of BJP and Congress, who want a diluted Lokpal Bill to be passed."

He alleged that both BJP and Congress are hand-in-glove in looting the country, which is in a dire need of a political alternative.

"The country requires a political alternative to the Congress and the BJP. The AAP is people's party and it is for the people to decide which party they want to be in power," he said.

Truth First sahib, looks like your ideas are far from truth. AAP has eaten INC votes and not BJP votes. BJP vote share reduced by 2% whereas INC vote share reduced by 17% in Delhi. More stronger AAP means weaker INC and little damage to BJP. Its Modi's wave holding BJP votes intact and restricting exodus to AAP. Ultimately INC is the sufferer and its votes are searching for an alternative. So AAP govt with INC means INC's future in Delhi is from 8 to 0 :)

By making bogus promises to the AAm Admi,i.e. free water/electricity, they have won the election but when it came to deliver their promises they are backing out from forming the Govt. and full filling their promises. Tony Sir, AAP would cut into INC votes only. As INC failed miserably, INC voters found an option to vote for AAP. See the results of Delhi. After all 70 seats analysis it is very clear that AAP cut into INC votes instead of BJP. Actually INC supported AAP from the back door with the hope that AAP will eat BJP's vote. But this wrong calculation backfired INC. INC gave one finger to AAP and AAP is trying to gobble whole Hastha now :)

The 8 seater congress is indirecty helping AAP form a govt, just wait for a news here.

this is what an 8 seat can also do.
BJP bieng the largest voted party couldnt garner support even from independent candidates an form a govt.

Those who want corruption and corrupt politicians to be exposed, then give full support to AAP.
Many of them were barking like (....)earlier about corruption of others. But someone threatening to expose their corruption, suddenly same hero becomes zero for them.

One can trust even that hungry, lonely street dog with the knowledge that he'll bite you once he is fed, because one knowigly does that but not BJP party. You'll never know when you will be felled.

What ever AAP party does or does not do from their earlier promises, but I want them to expose Gujarat corruption and lies of MODI . I want them to keep this one promise...

You people will not make any impact on 2014 LS election, but certainly you can make impact on 2019 election. But for that you need to form govt in Delhi and prove your capabilities. People want to know how you perform. Only then you can expand your party to other states.
