Delhi policeman commits suicide

New Delhi, Dec 16 (IANS): A Delhi Police constable committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan inside his house Monday afternoon, said police.

Sanjay Singh, 40, deputed to the security detail at the Supreme Court, was found hanging around 1 p.m. at his house in the police colony in west Delhi's Narela area.

"No suicide note was recovered from his possession. His family members informed he was depressed over his illness that might be the reason behind his taking the extreme step," said a police officer.
