Two held for keeping Gurgaon pub open beyond time


Gurgaon, Dec 21 (IANS): The owner and manager of a pub here were arrested for keeping it open and serving liquor beyond the permissible time limit, police said Saturday.

Gaurav and Ankit, the owner and manager respectively of the Proxy pub in JMD mall on the Mehrauli-Gurgaon road, were arrested during a raid.

"A raid was conducted by sector 29 police station staff. The bars were open till 2 a.m. Saturday," said a senior police officer.

"Police has been asked to remain more vigilant as the new year celebrations are approaching. The raid was part of that exercise," he added.

The duo were Saturday afternoon produced before a court, which released them on bail.
