The grievance redressal meet of dalits is held at the end of every month at the police guest house here. During the meet on April 30, Dalit representatives Gopal Kadumath and Appi sought permission from the ASP Lokesh Kumar to conduct the wedding by exchanging garlands at the end of the meeting. However, the ASP refused and said that it was not desireable to conduct a wedding a police station premises, especially at a meeting meant for hearing grievances.
