Karkala, May 4: At least animals would behave in a far better way than this.  In another rape case a 4-year-old girl was raped by a man from neighbourhood at Pelattije near Hirgan.  A complaint in this regard has been filed in the Karkala town police station on Monday May 1.

The accused has been identified as Rakesh Kulal of Pelattije.  It is said that a few days ago he took a four-year-old girl from his neighbourhood to his toilet.  But both of them did not come out for long.

Having observed this, one her relatives peeped inside the toilet from window and found Rakesh Kulal sexually assaulting the child.  As soon as Rakesh came to know that someone had seen him, he fled the place.  The incident was not brought to the light so far owing to several reasons. 

However, it was later found that the rape has left the victim under trauma and the child is staying aloof from people.  Disturbed by this, her mother has not filed a complaint with the town police.  The accused has not yet been arrested.
