Udupi, May 4: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bagalkot ZP Ponnaraj has been appointed news deputy commissioner of the district.  Along with that his wife Hemlatha who was the president of ‘CADA’ so far has been appointed CEO of Udupi ZP.

Deputy Commissioner’s post was vacant after the former DC T Shyam Bhat had been promoted as Endowment Commissioner.  Ever since, zilla panchayat CEO R Shantraj was the in-charge deputy commissioner.  He has now been transferred to the Rural Development Department, Bangalore.
