New Delhi, Dec 28 (IANS): It was a sunny, pleasant day in the national capital Saturday as the maximum temperature settled a notch below the season's average at 20 degrees Celsius. Similar weather is in store for the city Sunday, the Met office said.
"The skies will be clear tomorrow (Sunday) and the afternoon will be sunny. There will be light fog in the morning," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 19 and 5 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, trains coming into Delhi continued to be affected due to dense in fog in parts of north India, and as per the Northern Railway, 22 trains were running late.
Saturday's minimum temperature settled two notches below the season's average at 4.2 degrees Celsius.
Friday saw light rain and cloudy skies as the maximum temperature dropped four notches below the season's average at 17.1 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded a notch below the season's average at 6.5 degrees Celsius.
