Kolkata, Dec 29 (IANS): The society has not changed despite the widespread protests that followed the Delhi gang-rape of December 2012, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar said Sunday.
She was addressing the media on the sidelines of a seminar related to spirituality organised by SREI Foundation, a charitable fund, in Kolkata.
"Unfortunately, there is no change in society," Meira Kumar said, in response to a question on whether she perceived any change for good in the society since that gang-rape.
The victim of the assault eventually died in Singapore.
