Not afraid of trust vote: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Jan 2 (IANS): Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said his party was not afraid of facing a trust vote in the Delhi assembly Thursday to determine whether or not his government enjoys majority support.

"We are not afraid of the trust vote, we are not here (to enjoy) power," a smiling Kejriwal told the media.

"It does not matter for how many days we remain in power. If we had any fear, maybe we would have gone to the temple to pray."

The Aam Aadmi Party took power Saturday on the strength of its 28 seats in the 70-member Delhi assembly. The Congress, with eight legislators, has declared its support to the Kejriwal government.
