Chilly morning, clear day ahead for Delhi


New Delhi, Jan 3 (IANS): It was a chilly Friday morning here with the minimum temperature recorded two notches below average at 5.2 degrees Celsius. The Met Office has forecast a clear day ahead.

"The day will remain clear though there was shallow fog in the morning," said the India Meteorological Department official.

According to the Northern Railways, seven trains en-route to Delhi were delayed, and three travelling from Delhi were re-scheduled.

The day's maximum temperature is likely to hover around 18 degrees Celsisus.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 88 percent.

Thursday's maximum temperature settled two notches below the season's average at 18.3 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled two notches below the season's average at 5 degrees Celsius.
