Berlin, May 8: Ferrari's Michael Schumacher won the European Grand Prix at Nuerburgring on Sunday to clinch his second win in a row and the 86th of his career.
The German took the chequered flag ahead of defending world champion Fernando Alonso.
Schumacher, who finished 3.7 seconds clear of Alonso, took the lead definitively after the second round of pitstops.
Alonso, started on pole position for the first time this year and finished second for his 11th successive podium placing.
Brazilian Felipe Massa, stepped up to the podium for the first time in his 58-race career with a third place. Alonso still leads the Championship with 44 points.
