Mumbai: Sauharda Sahakari Day held at Sriguru Nityananda Sauharda Sahakari

Navunda, Jan 3: A Sauharda Sahakari day was held on January 1 in the premises of Sriguru Nityananda Sauharda Sahakari at Arehole rural area.

H B Thejappa, vice president of Sahakari hoisted the flag.  In the meeting that followed, retired agriculture official V H Naika spoke and said that Sahakari has received positive response and feedback within one and half years of existence.  He wished the firm that started with the far sightedness of president N K Billawa, progress, meeting the needs of the common man.

Narasimha Devadiga, president of Arehole milk producer’s sangha said that the members of the sahakari should be self reliant, proud of their achievement.

Management committee member B A Razak, Manju K Billawa, Ramakrishna K Billawa, Subhada school headmaster H N Aithal, assistant teacher Raviraj, Kiranraj, former Navunda panchayat president Jagadish Poojary, Arehole Srimahalingeshwara temple trustee Madhava Manja, A Nagesh Shanbohg, Ramesh Madhyastha, Narasimha Moorthi Aithal, Raju Poojary and Raju Devadiga were present.

Shubhada school children led the prayer.  K Pundalik Nayak, chief executive officer of the sahakari lauded the part played by the cooperative societies in the financial progress of the country and hoped that the celebration may contribute towards it.  He thanked the gathering.

Staff Shankera, Geetha and Pigmy collectors Suresh and Vikrama cooperated.
