New Delhi, Jan 9 (IANS): A committee under Delhi's new Chief Secretary S.K. Srivastva will submit the draft of the Jan Lokpal bill by Jan 15, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said Thursday, adding that he hoped to pass the legislation by the first week of February.

"We have set up a committee today (Thursday) under the chief secretary so that all the concerned departments can examine the Jan Lokpal bill.

"The committee is supposed to finally draft it and submit it by Jan 15," the chief minister told reporters.

"We hope to bring this bill by January-end or first week of February in Ramlila Ground," he said.

In its poll manifesto, the Aam Aadmi Party had promised to pass the bill within 15 days of assuming power.
