Delhi government asks high court to recruit 100 judges


New Delhi, Jan 9 (IANS): The Delhi government has advised the high court to recruit 100 judges for ensuring "speedy justice" especially for women, Law Minister Somnath Bharti said Thursday.

"In our meeting with the chief justice of Delhi High Court, we requested him to recruit 100 judges for various courts in the capital so that speedy justice can be ensured and especially in women (related) cases," Bharti said, after he and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal paid a courtesy call Wednesday on Chief Justice N.V. Ramana at his residence.
