Vishwas at dalit home visited by Rahul, claims situation same

Amethi (UP), Jan 13 (PTI): Stepping up his campaign against Rahul Gandhi in his home turf, AAP leader Kumar Vishwas today visited a dalit home where the Congress leader had spent a night and claimed nothing has changed for the family.

Vishwas, a poet-turned politician, claimed the family of Sunita in Jawaharpur village here was still leading a "miserable" life, a day after he had mocked the Congress Vice President for spending nights at Dalit homes, calling it just "symbolism". He also had food at the home.

Rahul stayed overnight at the same home on January 26, 2008 and had food there.
Vishwas claimed that Sunita's fortunes had not changed despite the Congress leader's visit.

He spoke to Sunita about her problems and directed party workers to ensure that she got a roof over her head.

"We have no permanent residence till this date. Our children are like orphans now. No proper food or education is available," Sunita told reporters.

Later, while talking to people, Vishwas said Rs 55,000 crore was reportedly spent on Amethi's development, which was not visible.

"There is no electricity..there is no water in tubewells, no development in villages...people should ask Rahul," he said.

Taking a dig at Rahul for staying in dalit houses and eating with them, Vishwas had said that showing such "symbolism" would not help as the job of a Member of Parliament was to worry whether dalits in the area represented by him have had their food even before eating his own.

"Sleeping in dalit houses under SPG security or eating with dalits won't help or change things. That is not the job of an MP. His job is to worry if all dalits have eaten food even before he has his own...This fight is not easy. I have come here to stay. I will not go back till you put your stamp on me," he said.

"I will not go to a Dalit's house and have dinner while simultaneously alerting TV channels to cover it," he added.

Hopefully this time people see through Rahul's empty promises and give him a befitting reply by defeating him through their votes. The entire Gandhi family should be thrown out of this country. If by any chance Rahul becomes the PM,his BIL Mr. robber wadra will be emboldened to loot the country totally.

This is an election gimmick by Vishwas.criticizing anybody is easy.Let Vishwas give a legal written contract to the voters as what he is promising he will do or else stipulate the punishment he is ready to face. This election promises are toothless and once elected nobody abide it.Hope voters know this.Thanq.

For over 60 years, Congress played the gimmicks of minority & Dalits appeasement by doing this drama. Nothing has been done to improve their living conditions. Kumar Vishwas has now exposed what Raul Vinci G has been doing a whitewash in Dalits homes & claiming what the congress has been wrongly projecting. Hope Kumar Vishwas wins Amethi & drive out the liar goose Raul Vinci & his mother back to Italy

These should stop these gimmicks of visiting Dalits house, minorities house...and so on...Even after 60 years of independence still these gimmicks are happening and who is responsible for that. If the country has a overall growth, then everybody can earn their bread and butter without any problem. So don't get away with these types of gimmicks.

These gimmicks are merely eye wash and cheap publicity.
Forefathers and great leaders like Gandhiji, Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln and so on, were not like this.
They were the voice of neglected and marginalized.
They knew the problems of the common man and genuinely addressed them!
They didn't expect praise from people.
Nelson Mandela would go in the crowd and hit the misbehaved even then they would adore him for they knew he sacrificed his life for their well being.
Difference between great humans and shows up (acting) humans.

Sir, there is a big difference of definition in between a "statesman" and "politician". The politicians are born with multiple tongues in the same mouth-
A certain dose of tricks and acting according to situations, but the emotionally charged blind followers will blindly believe the politicians as divine incarnations.
Indian politics is basically a big business using politics to get rich in a hurry. A few weeks back, there was a picture in the Kerala newspapers, three political leaders walking in a hurry (some ministers) by passing an old lady lying at the roadside totally helpless in Trivandrum close to the central jail. That is the real political picture of the Indian politics.

So Vishwas has changed their status after his visit? What is this guy trying to prove? Why after all some people in politics make personal attacks, particularly on Gandhi Family? If people do not want Dynasty let them decide. By making personal attacks one displays only his class.

Mr Vishwas do not go overboard on anything you do . you seem to be having a magic wand which can eliminate all problems within a short span. Learn to be polite and humble first whatever said and done, he is a mass leader and people will observe your arrogance !!tell people of amerthi what you can different and not do the same thing what rahul did in a different way

When Kumarswamy was CM of Karnataka he used to Visit villages and stay with some poor family for one night. Then while leaving he used to promise to solve all the problems of that family & their village. But nothing has changed for that family, even though more than 5 years have passed. Even the temporary toilet & bathroom erected for Kumarswamy have been dismantled subsequently and taken away to another village for K Swamy's another - Halli Vaasa drama.
