Pleasant Tuesday in capital, similar weather Wednesday


New Delhi, Jan 14 (IANS): Delhi experienced a sunny and pleasant Tuesday with the maximum temperature recorded at 22.1 degree Celsius, a notch above the season's average. Similar weather is likely Wednesday, said the met office.

The maximum and the minimum temperatures Wednesday are likely to hover around 22 degrees Celsius and 8 degrees Celsius respectively.

The day will start with shallow fog in the morning, but the sky later on will be clear and the day pleasant, said an official of the India Meteorological Department(IMD).

Tuesday morning started with shallow fog, which cleared as the day progressed. The minimum temperature was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average.

According to the Northern Railways, 50 trains were rescheduled and 22 trains were running late due to the Delhi weather.

However the arrivals and the departures of the flights were not affected, said an statement of the Indira Gandhi International airport.

Monday's maximum temperature was recorded at 21.6 degree Celsius, a notch above the season's average, while the minimum was 7 degree Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
