Mangalore, May 13: Teacher is supposed to set such an example that his/her students try to inculcate them in their life. But this teacher from Kendriya Vidyalay at Panambur near here is an exception for this theory. His example is not only worth condemning but also deserves punishment.
The court has stayed the second marriage of Teertharam, a teacher of Kendriya Vidyalay after his first wife filed a complaint against his second marriage.
Teertharam hails from Mailoru in Sullia and had married one Gayatri in last December. It was an inter-caste marriage. Theirs was a love marriage.
However, recently Teertharam planned to marry for the second time but without the knowledge and permission of his first wife. He was betrothed to a girl from Alankar near Puttur and their wedding was to take place on Sunday May 14. The wedding invitations too had been distributed already.
However, when Gayatri came to about this, she spoke with Teertharam. But he refused to listen to her. So she met the girl who was supposed to marry Teertharam and told her the reality. Though her relatives agreed to break the relationship, the girl did not and insisted on marrying Teertharam.
Having no other way, Gayatri filed a case with the Vacation Court. The court has now stayed the marriage.
