Vatican City, Jan 17 (IANS/AKI): Pope Francis has called on Catholics to pray for peace.

"Let us pray for peace, and let us bring it about, starting in our own homes!" the pope wrote on Twitter.

The popular Argentine pontiff has over 10 million followers on the microblogging website, where his tweets are published in nine languages.
